La Bacteria Soundsystem se creo en mayo del 2005 con los cantantes quetzaltecos Dr. Sativo, y Pichy y los capitalinos MC Khris y Sr. Rima (de Alioto Locko`s), y el selectha K.O. en las mezclas mùsicales; presentandose en el centro cultural El Sitio de la Antigua Guatemala con motivo de la 4ta. muestra-concierto denominada Maria y la Iguana empezando esta actividad en el año 2001 organizada por el grupo de percusion Aritmo, logrando reunir en un solo evento a artistas de gran talla y trayectoria artistica en diferentes disciplinas. Luego de un lapso de tiempo de inactividad se logra en octubre del 2005 continuar nuevamente presentandose de manera mensual, hasta la fecha, en el Bar Bad Attitude de la zona 1 cada 3er. jueves del mes contando con la participaciòn de artistas nacionales como internacionales como por ejemplo el MC I:Troll de Francia, el Selectha Faddafoul de ........... de Irlanda. A la vez que la Bacteria Soundsystem se ha presentado en distintos escenarios de la ciudad capital como en el interior del paìs alternando con artistas de distinta indole mùsical. Esta està actualmente integrada en su totalidad por los MC`s-Cantantes: Lovel 2, Sr. Rima, MC Khris, Shiny & Divary y los selectha`s: K.O. & The Collector. La Bacteria Soundsystem surge siguiendo la misma linea de las Soundsystem jamaiquinas y europeas que se conforman por un Dj o màs (en patois se les denomina Selectha`s), quienes tienen a su cargo la selecciòn y mezcla de los Riddims, y uno o màs en Mc`s (en patois se les denomina a estos DJ`s o Singer`s o Toaster`s dependiendo la forma en que se canta ya sea de una manera melodiosa o por medio del raggamuffin), quienes se encargan de animar a la gente, improvisar y cantar canciones de su propia autorìa. Esta idea surgiò luego de la experiencia obtenida por el selectha K.O. en su larga estancia en Alemania con quien junto al cantante y mc Paco Mendoza a.k.a. el Criminal formaron la Clan Destino Soundsystem en la ciudad de Köln, difundiendo su mùsica en diferentes ciudades, fiestas, clubes y festivales de Alemania; a esto se le suma la experienca de ser DJ de los cantantes de Reggae y Dancehall Caramelo y Criminal / Raggabund. En el 2005 se tiene contemplado sacar a la luz los materiales discograficos de Lovel 2, posiblemente del Sr. Rima y de Shiny & Divary, ademàs de sacar Mixtapes pa`seguir difundiendo nuestra mùsica en todos los ambitos y niveles posibles. !Paz y Respeto¡ Bacteria Sound Infectando oidos...
