GRUPO DE INVESTIGACION DE MUSICA Y TRADICIONES NAHUALISTA, TEZCATLIPOCA.
Formado en 1998 a raíz de conocer las culturas vernáculas del actual territorio nacional (El Salvador), el grupo a enfocado todos sus esfuerzos para recuperar los patrones culturales comprendidos en lenguaje, vestimenta, costumbres, música, mitos y leyendas.
El grupo se ha esforzado por reincorporar a la sociedad ciertos patrones culturales perdidos durante mucho tiempo, entre ellos instrumentos indígenas antes muy usados, hoy en desuso, música de corte indigenista hoy casi inexistente, en este campo el grupo trata que la población conozca más de su herencia cultural basado en el rescate de lo dicho anteriormente. Ejemplo: claro de nuestra gran transculturización es que la gran mayoría de nuestra población se encuentra acostumbrada a ver la bisutería y camisas bordadas con casitas u otros motivos como parte de nuestra cultura y no como lo que realmente son, una moda o un suvenir, ya que lo que realmente nos representa en vestimenta es mucho más complejo. El trabajo que nosotros desarrollamos va enfocado a cimentar en base a una visión ancestral del entorno.
- Área musical.
La música como medio de expresión, estaba llena de significados festivos o ceremoniales a la cual estaba destinadas diferentes melodías e instrumentos que eran fabricados, y utilizados para una determinada situación. No podemos decir que dichas melodías actualmente ejecutadas eran tal y como se hacía hace miles de años por nuestros antepasados, pero si podemos apegarnos a lo leído e investigado, tratando de acércanos lo más objetivamente posible a las manifestaciones culturales y musicales que se realizaban en ese entonces.
Es por ello que la musicalidad de los instrumentos precolombinos produzcan sonidos propios del diseño o forma de ejecución, ya sean aerófonos o de percusión creando sonidos y melodías distintas uno del otro. Todo esto nos permite crear una gama de melodías y sonidos, así como los instrumentos basados en las características etnofónicas de nuestra cultural.
