EzequiasYes, but the reporting and tax rertiqemenus are onerous and are causing international financial institutions to shut their doors to Americans. Moreover, the residency sti[censurado]tion for expats is patently unfair. If for example, an American citizen whom lives overseas visits the USA for more than 30 days, he/she is considered a resident of the USA and subject to full Federal taxes. In addition, the USA taxes worldwide income, regardless of where it was earned. Most countries have a six month residency rule, and also exclude foreign earned income. |
