Ska tradicional con la banda amante del ska, rock steady y la música de Jamaica.
A finales del 2007 nace de parte de Luis, ex baterista de Rudas
Intenciones y de Diego Núñez actual bajista de Mystica y Raíz, la idea
de formar una banda que recuperara los hermosos ritmos tradicionales
Jamaicanos de los 60’s como lo son el Ska, el Rocksteady y el Reggae y
así a través de la música revivir el sentimiento y la vibra de esa
época en las pistas de baile...la banda estubo activa durante casi un
año llevando a la gente un sonido fresco, diferente y alegre al que
estaban acostumbrados.
Desafortunadamente hubo problemas por los cuales desapareció pero a
finales del 2007 Groovy time se forma de nuevo con la aparición de un
proyecto llamado jungle beat, el cual nace tomando como sede Jamrock
bar legendario de las tierras santanecas, donde desfilaron la mayoría
de bandas nacionales de la escena y además donde quedaron muchos buenos
recuerdos; este proyecto era sin participación de metales. Cuando
entraron los metales y otros integrantes a la banda decidieron seguir
con el nombre ya que habían varios músicos fundadores que en aquel
entonces formaban parte de Groovy Time.
Los integrantes de Groovy time han compartido musicalmente en bandas
como: la tepolkua, blumerangs, monkey man, rudas intenciones y jungle
beat.
Groovy Time hace sus interpretaciones musicales de manera instrumental
y estan trabajando ya en nuevos temas con vocalista y en su primer demo.
