ShivkumarThanks for the post. I have the Kifaru Marauder and have been very pleased with it. Nope,it aint cheap but I would say that its worth every penny. The resaon I asked your opinion was because of a deal ,Rawles pointed out. Complete, new, never-issued packs with frame, bag, carrier, belt and straps for about $60. I was thinking about getting a half dozen for me and the LMI to use as tertiary level bags for things like winter survival gear and bugout bags...bags that would be very seldom ever used for any other task than the one [censurado]igned to it. An expensive pack would be wasted just sitting idly in a corner 'just in case', but if you ever did need one in a critical emergency a cheap one might be a mistake as well. These seemed like a good compromise for quality and modularity vs. price. I ordered one to examine and they seem rather good for the money. However, I wanted some opinion from someone who carried one in a more professional and 'real world' setting. Much thanks. |

SnowThanks for checking out Ruckus. Your cerocnn about creating an echo chamber is a valid one and we've heard it from several other people as well. In practice though, the content of the site isn't really segregated, and you're always just one click away from seeing rucks, members, or updates from members that are not necessarily ideologically consistent with you.You should definitely check it out further and let us know how we can improve it and make it more useful for people like you. |
