El Salvador celebrará a su Monseñor... Romero de América

Y el nunca se llegó. El Salvador se quiere reivindicar con su pastor, 30 años después de su martirio. Como sólo él se lo merece, Óscar Arnulfo Romero, para muchos, San Romero de América, será homenajeado este sábado 13 de marzo, con un concierto que servirá para mostrar la devoción que el pueblo le tiene a su pastor, por medio del arte... de la música.

Específicamente en CIFCO, ex Feria Internacional de El Salvador, en San Salvador, se prepara una gran fiesta por Monsenor. El anfiteatro será el escenario para que bandas y artistas de Exceso de Equipaje, Son ¾, Súper Pakito Chac, Horizontes, Lorena Cuerno, Lino Gonzáles y Fidelidad de Dios, Grupo Trova, Caín Manttis, Signo Azul, Manuel Contreras, Pescozada, La Real Akademia y los legendarios Torogoces de Morazán suenen cánticos en honor a Romero.

Este evento servirá para ofrecer a los miles de asistentes que esperan los organizadores, el producto musical de una iniciativa realizada por la Primera Dama de la República, Vanda Pignato, y apoyada por la Secretaría de Inclusión Social, quien convocó a los artistas y grupos que han destacado por proponer musica con conciencia social, para rendir un homenaje al Pastor Martir, a través de la música. El resultado es esta presentación, y un disco producido por Paulino Espinoza, que contiene 16 canciones en las que cada artista manifiesta con sonidos y estrofas, la grandeza de Romero para con su pueblo.

El disco, del cual se editarán 7000 copias, será realizado por el sello mexicano, Discos Pentagrama, institución que ha destacado por apoyar este tipo de proyectos e iniciativas musicales que realcen la solidaridad latinoamericana. Se espera que el disco ya esté listo para este sábado, dia del gran concierto.

La invitación está hecha. Sábado, desde las 4 de la tarde con entrada completamente gratis, El Salvador debe rendir homenaje a su pastor. Es el momento de dejar de lado la injusticia y recordar a quienes han luchado por la paz y la unidad.
