“El Grito Rock” de Brasil, por primera vez sonará en Centroamérica

Los países centroamericanos formarán parte, por primera vez, de “El Grito Rock”, uno de los más grandes festivales del rock en Brasil que, en marzo próximo, hará vibrar a 132 ciudades latinoamericanas y, por primera vez incluirá a las naciones del istmo centroamericano.
“El Grito Rock” es uno de los más grandes festivales de producción colaborativa en Brasil que se lleva a cabo anualmente desde el 2003.
Es producido por el Circuito “Fora do Eixo” (Fuera de Eje) y sus colectivos artísticos vinculados y cuenta con la colaboración de las casas asociadas, de la organización Toque No Brasil así como de la Asociación Brasileña de Festivales Independientes (Abrafin).
Se trata del más grande festival en cadena del continente. Integra a productores de 132 ciudades en 10 países para promover la producción alternativa de música, de cultura y de tecnologías colaborativas.
En el 2011, “El Grito Rock” celebrará su novena edición y en este año logra alcance latinoamericano pues se llevará a cabo no sólo en Brasil sino que se suman Uruguay, Bolivia, Chile, Panamá, Nicaragua y Costa Rica, Honduras, El Salvador y Guatemala.
La expectativa es que más de 900 artistas se presenten para un público de aproximadamente 80. 000 personas entre el 25 de febrero y el 28 de marzo de este año.
Los 132 productores participantes representan un aumento del 65% en relación con los participantes en 2010, cuando el proyecto conectó a más de 80 puntos.
Grito Rock es una iniciativa en franco crecimiento encaminada a convertirse en una plataforma fundamental para que bandas emergentes y consolidadas de distintos lugares puedan acercar su trabajo a nuevas ciudades y países.
El Grito en Centroamérica
La vinculación de Centroamérica fue posible gracias a la participación de una delegación de músicos y productores que viajó a Brasil en diciembre pasado para participar en la “III Feira de Musica Brasil 2010” en Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais) con el apoyo del proyecto “Sector Cultura e Integración (SCI), financiado por la Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional para el Desarrollo (AECID), y el Ministerio de Cultura de Brasil.
En esta primera edición para Centroamérica, un colectivo de músicos, productores y promotores culturales ha organizado un evento en cada país centroamericano con bandas locales. La idea es que para el 2012 ya pueda darse un intercambio de bandas de Brasil hacia Centroamérica y viceversa.
“Considero que El Grito Rock es una enorme puerta que se abre en Centroamérica para profundizar el intercambio cultural con Brasil, un país del que hemos estado alejados muy posiblemente por la barrera del idioma pero con el que tenemos muchísimas cosas en común”, declaró Roberto Díaz Velado, representante del colectivo centroamericano que participa en esta producción.
Segú Díaz, la producción de este festival va más allá de la música pues contempla una nueva forma de trabajo colaborativa “donde todos compartimos nuestros conocimientos y experiencias para un fin común sin importar nuestra nacionalidad o desempeño específico dentro del colectivo”.
