Rene Alonso Orellana Alfaro, Nacio un 8 de Mayo de 1966, en la Ciudad de San Salvador, bajo el signo de Tauro.
Es hijo de una familia de clase media, sus padres son el recordado Lisandro "Chando" Orellana de Nacionalidad Hondurena y Ana Aracely Penate de Nacionalidad Salvadorena.
vuelve a su Pais, como productor de su mas reciente propuesta musical, cuyo primer cover “La Cumbia no debe morir” fue premiada en el 2008 como “cancion del año” a nivel nacional.
Es hijo de una familia de clase media, sus padres son el recordado Lisandro "Chando" Orellana de Nacionalidad Hondurena y Ana Aracely Penate de Nacionalidad Salvadorena.
Rene Alonso dio sus primeros pasos en el ambiente artistico a la edad de 5 anos, presentandose en varias oportunidades en el programa dominical
“Jardin Infantil” junto al recordado Tio Periquito, demostrando a travez del canto una excepcional disposición artística.
Desde niño supo lo que quería: “ser un cantante reconocido en su pais” y desde entonces empezo a prepararse para poder lograr la fama.
Con tan solo 12 anos de edad empieza a mostrar su hoy genial habilidad con las percusiones en el grupo musical de su padre.
Siendo un adolecente, a la edad de 17 años, forma parte de la Internacional agrupacion “Espiritu Libre” destacandose en el area de las percusiones , y formando parte de la delantera como vocalista.
Despues de 8 años siendo parte de esta agrupacion, su personalidad y carisma ya ha captado la atencion del publico, decidiendo formar su propia agrupacion en el año de 1988 llamado “Rene Alonso y su Banda Lasser” .
A traves de sus 20 año de trayectoria a sido ganador de varios reconocimientos a Nivel Nacional e Internacional, su mayor exito “La chica de humo” se convirtio en éxito multitudinario con el que se identifican cientos de miles de fans en sus conciertos de sus giras nacionales e Internacionales, siendo hoy por hoy reconocido como el mayor exponente de la musica “chunchaca” a nivel Centro Americano.
Como compositor e interprete de sus propias canciones se destacan sus tambien exitos “solo mentiras” , “vuelve”, “ el juego es tuyo” . entre otras .
Con mas de 20 producciones discrograficas y 52 giras artisticas, a compartido escenario con artistas de talla internacional por mencionar algunos:,Marco Antonio Solis y los Bukis, Selena, Los Flamers, Los Tigres del Norte, Los Temerarios, Banda El Recodo, entre otros.
Despues de 2 años y medio de gira por todo Estados Unidos, y de una participacion especial con el popular grupo de cumbia urbana “crooked stilo”
