Manteca, es un nuevo grupo de salsa , con influencias de timba y jazz, su propuesta nueva en cuanto a sonoridad se enriquece además por la experiencia de cada uno de sus miembros en el ámbito musical salvadoreño. Con en esta nueva propuesta sonora, se aporta aun más al espectro musical en El Salvador y se hace algo que se había dejado prácticamente de lado, que es tocar salsa mayor, es decir la salsa brava, dura, pero con nuevas influencias rítmicas y armónicas adquiridas por sus miembros en todos estos años…
Dentro de su repertorio destacan temas de la Fania All Stars, Rubén Blades, Willie Colon, Trío matamoros, Buena vista social club, NG la banda, grupo Irakere, etc, todas ejecutadas con un sello particular de la banda, sello que es el la sumatoria de los talentos de sus miembros. Actualmente estamos trabajando en grabar nuestro primer material, que son temas reconocidos, pero con arreglos de MANTECA..
