Historia

EL DISCO

El disco empieza muy agresivo con la rola "Lies" de claros tonos de metal matizados con un poco de rock alternativo en la parte vocal a cargo de la danesa Janne Jacobsen. La lírica esta toda en ingles, así que aquellos que no "spikininglish", ya la regaron.

La joya del disco es la segunda canción titulada "To the "one"", adonde la vos y la melodía de Minium adquieren cierta magia melódica y sentimental. La letra, de la inspiración del guitarrista Rodrigo Zapata, es sencillamente bella y las cuerdas vocales de "la Janne" se lucen. Sin embargo hay unas leves fallas técnicas que se podrían haber sido mejor trabajadas en la mezcla pero eso no le quita merito a este disquito; que pretendía ser un demo, pero que va mucho más allá.

S&B es la siguiente canción. Es una rola tranquilita pero muy buena. El estilo de la banda se deja influir por sonidos soft rock bien trabajados. Le sigue "To my eyes" (Para mis ojos) - otra de las rolas más fuertes -, Minium a logrado colar este tema en varias radios nacionales adonde ha sido muy solicitada.

Sin embargo la siguiente canción le da un claro "bajón" al ritmo general del disco. "Invisible" es para mi gusto demasiado tranquila pero la inclusión del teclado a manos de Jorge Lara resulta interesante. La siguiente canción "Sometimes" parece seguir el mismo camino de "Invisible", pero los músicos le dan dinamismo jugando con ritmos suaves y pasando a tiempos más rabiosos.

"Let me be", es otra buena propuesta. Los músicos logran un ritmo bastante experimental, es una rola adonde demuestran mucho su musicalidad con buenos cambios de ritmo acompañados de una vos intensamente luminosa.

El disco termina con los temas "Acoustica", "A Million Words" grabados en el concurso Subterránica 2002, que les valieron a estos músicos un lugar entre los finalistas de dicho evento. Son temas bien "relax" para aquellos que disfrutan de sonidos "más al sua".

Minium también avisa que ya grabaron su primer video para la canción "To my eyes", ya fue grabado. El video fue dirigido por Edson Amaya y producido por OMEGA studios.

Como comentario final podemos decir que a pesar de que estos muchachos dicen que esta primera producción se trata de un "demo ampliado", es un trabajo muy bueno merecedor de 5 estrellas por originalidad - menos tres cuartos de estrella por algunos de los problemas técnicos mencionados -. Buen trabajo
