Música Eterna > Fade In & Fade Out

¿Quieres hacer sentir que tu canción no tiene fin?, ¿Quieres que quien la escuche piense que antes de ponerle play ya estaba sonando?
Aunque parezca insignificante, los sencillos efectos de Fade In y Fade Out (Aparecer o Desvanecer) pueden ayudarte a lograr sensaciones muy especiales en aquellos que presten atención a tus producciones de audio. Un simple Fade In al inicio da la sensación de que la canción y los músicos ya habían comenzado a tocar mucho antes de que esta alcanzara su volumen máximo. Al otro extremo, un Fade Out genera la sensación de que tu canción no tiene fin, que los músicos seguirán y seguirán por siempre.
Uno de los mejores ejemplos que podemos citarte en el Rock Alternativo es el trabajo de Soundgarden en su disco "Badmotorfinger", escucha "Searching with my good Eye closed" con un intrigante Fade In y la rola "Somewhere" con un sublime Fade Out y, para colmo, todavía hacen un Fade In sobre el mismo final, lo que le da una atmósfera de eternidad. Sting ocupó el mismo efecto, mientras estaba en The Police, al final de "Every little thing she does is magic", con un Fade Out en el que interpretan incluso una nueva estrofa casi imperceptible pero de muy buena calidad. Te deja la sensación de que a la canción aún le seguía una parte interesante.

Abre el programa y luego carga el archivo que deseas modificar. Una vez que se haya desplegado el diagrama de la frecuencia (generalmente en color azul) y bloquea lo que deseas que dure el Fade In. Esta duración quedará a tu criterio, puede durar lo que consideres que exprese mejor tu intención. Observa la imagen 008_Fade_01.jpg

Ahora dirígete a la barra de herramientas superior y busca dentro del apartado "Efectos". Se desplegará un listado de efectos preestablecidos. El Fade in es uno de ellos. Haz click sobre él como te muestra la imagen 008_Fade_02.jpg. Listo, ahora un click en el botón para retroceder hasta el principio y luego play para escuchar lo que has hecho. Te dará la sensación de que el grupo ya estaba tocando desde mucho antes, dependiendo de la composición, claro. Observa la imagen 008_Fade_03.jpg
Ahora hagamos un Fade Out.

Carga el archivo que deseas trabajar. Dirígete al final de la canción. Bloquea el espacio que durará tu Fade Out, según sea conveniente. Observa la imagen 008_Fade_04.jpg

En la barra de herramientas superior, dentro de "Efectos", también encontrarás el preestablecido Fade Out. Haz click ahí como te lo muestra la imagen 008_Fade_05.jpg
En la imagen 008_Fade_06.jpg puedes ver el resultado. retrocede hasta unos segundos antes de que comience el Fade Out y escúchalo para saber si está bien o si debes aumentar o disminuir el lapso que tarda en desvanecerse.
Como ves es bastante fácil. Este es un truco más de producción que de composición. Te ayuda a crear atmósferas distintas, con matices eternos y en caso de que tu grupo jamás decidiera cuál sería el mejor final para una rola, el Fade Out siempre será una buena salida.
